N.C.Programmer 1980 - 1983

Came back to Smiths as a N.C Programming Engineer, programming first in A.P.T, then in Profiledata, and finally in CADCENTRE,s G.N.C language, first on a Prime computer, then on a VAX. Self taught BASIC, with which I wrote several Machine tool Post processors. Also maintained, and wrote Post processors in Fortran, and combined the Post processors into printing the Machine tool setup sheets.

Senior Industrial Engineer 1983 - 1987

Promoted to the above position , and introduced VAX 11/730 computer into the programming Dept complete with a D.N.C Link from the programming office to the machine shop with a plotter , so that they could get machine setup sheets directly on the shop floor. Wrote Post Processors for :-
